Project Scope

Projects must fall within the foundation's focus areas: medical research, marine/maritime research, culture, or environmental protection
Marine/maritime research projects must relate to ocean law or deep sea research (existing center themes)

Constraints

No open application process exists — partnership is initiated by the foundation

Historical Context

Founded on 31 March 2009. Has established 26 medical research centers since 2011. Two marine research centers: K.G. Jebsen Center for Ocean Law and K.G. Jebsen Center for Deep Sea Research. Total allocations reached NOK 807 million by 2024. The PDF analyzed is the 2022 annual activities report.
