Mediterranean Sea biodiversity and marine conservation are priority areas within the Nature program
Pollution reduction focus is on harmful chemicals, not general waste management

No open application process — foundation proactively identifies and approaches partners

Historical Context

Founded in 2005 by the Van Vliet family. Celebrated 20 years in 2025. Receives periodic donations from a related foundation managing the family endowment. Designated as ANBI (Public Benefit Organization) by Dutch authorities.
