Summary
The CirculaRise Accelerator is a fully funded 6-month program run by the Yunus Environment Hub — a global social business network — designed to help established social businesses in Germany scale inclusive circular solutions. The program addresses barriers that circular social businesses face: limited resources, difficulty reaching customers, and balancing social impact with financial sustainability. It covers areas including waste management, resource recovery, recycling, and broader circular economy transitions. Selected participants receive structured coaching, expert-led masterclasses, peer-to-peer learning, and access to a partner and alumni network. The program is primarily online but includes two mandatory in-person events — a kick-off in June 2026 and a Demo Day in Fall 2026. Following the core six months, participants can access an additional six months of on-demand tailored support. Eligibility is strictly limited to social businesses registered in Germany that are circular or actively transitioning to circularity, committed to both social and environmental impact, and able to dedicate two team members for approximately 8-10 hours per month. No equity is taken — this is a fully funded, non-dilutive program. The application deadline for the June 2026 cohort is April 15, 2026. Alumni from previous cohorts include businesses in waste management (ContainerGrid, Shit2Power, Repair Circle), sustainable agriculture (Bean United), interior design (Qubitkidz), and fashion (SONRIZA, LOTTA LUDWIGSON) — all Germany-based social enterprises.
Historical Context
Alumni from previous cohorts (Germany) include: Bean United (sustainable agriculture/coffee), ContainerGrid (waste management/reverse logistics software), Qubitkidz (interior design with recycled materials), SONRIZA (sustainable fashion), Shit2Power (wastewater-to-energy), LOTTA LUDWIGSON (circular fashion), and Repair Circle (e-waste repair platform). All are Germany-based social businesses.
