Summary

The 100+ Accelerator is a global sustainability accelerator launched by AB InBev in 2018, jointly sponsored by major FMCG companies including The Coca-Cola Company, Colgate-Palmolive, Danone, Mondelēz International, and Unilever. The programme was created to support the achievement of the UN SDGs by accelerating the growth of startups developing sustainability solutions across the value chains of its corporate sponsors. The programme offers up to USD 100,000 per participating startup for pilot design and implementation, along with mentorship from subject matter experts and culminates in a Demo Day with investors. Seven challenge areas are addressed: water stewardship, climate, circular economy, sustainable agriculture, nature and biodiversity, inclusive growth, and health and wellness. The circular economy challenge is most relevant for organizations working on plastic waste and recycling, as it aligns with the sponsors aggregate commitment to reduce plastic waste and increase use of recycled materials. In recent cohorts, 46 startups were selected from over 1,700 submissions. Cohort 7 applications are now closed as of early 2026. Cohort 8 is expected to open approximately mid-2026. The programme primarily targets technology startups, not traditional NGOs, which limits direct applicability.

Historical Context

Running since 2018, now in Cohort 7. Annual cycle with applications typically opening around June. Record submission numbers indicate high competition.
