Dow is one of the world's largest chemical companies and a founding member of the Alliance to End Plastic Waste (AEPW). Through its Stop the Waste and Pulling Our Weight initiatives, Dow has committed and deployed more than $100 million toward plastic collection, recycling, and circular economy infrastructure. Dow is also a founding investor in Circulate Capital, providing capital for plastic recycling SMEs in South and Southeast Asia. Dow's plastic waste initiatives focus on three areas: investing in collection infrastructure, supporting recycling technology development, and funding education and community awareness programmes. In India and Indonesia, Dow has supported door-to-door collection systems, waste bank networks, and community-based plastic recovery programmes in partnership with local NGOs and government.
