Summary
Innobooster 2nd Pool 2026 is the second application period within Innovation Fund Denmark's annual Innobooster rolling programme, covering the window from 26 March to 13 May 2026. It provides co-investment grants for Danish SMEs and entrepreneurial companies initiating knowledge-based innovation projects. Thematic priorities for Period 2 are identical to the wider 2026 Innobooster programme: green technology and innovation (29% of budget), life science, health and welfare technology (33%), critical and digital technologies (29%), and defence technology (9%). Within the green technology theme, circular economy and environmental technology projects are eligible. Eligible activities include development of innovative products, services, or process innovations that are not yet market-ready. Co-financeable costs include employee hours (existing and new hires), knowledge supplier costs (universities, GTS institutes, specialist companies), and equipment/materials. Routine operations, marketing, and sales are excluded. Geographic scope is Denmark-only. Eligible organisations are exclusively Danish-registered private-sector SMEs meeting EU size criteria and at least one financial readiness criterion. Non-profit organisations, NGOs, and membership associations cannot serve as lead applicants. The grant covers up to 35% of total project costs, with the company providing the remaining 65%. Project budgets range from DKK 200,000 to DKK 5 million. Projects last up to 24 months. The estimated response time for Period 2 applicants is September 2026.
